Record Once, Post All Week: Turn One Long Video Into Reels

If you've ever recorded a long video and then never touched it again, this is the fix. Instead of sitting in an editor hunting for good moments, you let AI find them and cut them for you. You bring the ideas once. You get a week of short clips out of them.

The idea in one line

A long video already has your best moments in it. You just need help finding them and cutting them into vertical.

Step 1. Get the transcript with timestamps

Feed in your video (or its transcript) and ask:

Here's the transcript of my video with timestamps. Pull out the 5 strongest standalone moments, the hooks, the clear takeaways, the lines that would make someone stop scrolling. Give me the start and end time for each.

Step 2. Sanity-check the picks yourself

It's fast, not perfect. Read the five it chose. Keep the three that actually sound like you. This is the only step that needs your judgment, and it takes two minutes.

Step 3. Write the hook overlay

For each clip:

Write a 4 to 6 word on-screen hook for this clip. Make the first three words the payoff, not a tease.

Step 4. Cut, caption, schedule

Depending on your editor, AI can generate the caption file (SRT), suggest the cut points, and draft the posting caption. Hand it the three clips and let it draft all three at once.

How to use this: The whole point is time back. One good long recording becomes three to four short clips. Do this every time you record something long and you're never scrambling for a Reel again.
